Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Took my 11yr old daughter. Perfect combo of history & ghost stories. Totally a MUST DO!. Wish we had time to do the daytime history tour as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Dan. I thought I knew a bit about Salem's history but I hadn't even scratched the surface. He is extremely knowledgeable and a captivating and intriguing storyteller. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know the history of the great town of Salem, whether you call it home or are just visiting.

I've taken the Supernatural/Ghost Story Tour, with Dan as the tour guide. Excellent, spooky stories, subtle humor and knowledge about the city's past enriched the experience. I would recommend this tour heartily, and will be bringing friends and family back from time to time. I also look forward to taking the Historical Tour as well!
