Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Dan was a fantastic tour guide to have on our journey. He's a great story teller and full of information on all topics! He gladly answered our questions and has a great sense of humor and adventure. He clearly loves this town and his job. It's so nice to see someone good at their job and refreshing to see them love what they do! You'll also get some information and tales that you've never heard before on any tours, museums, or meets. It's well worth it. I'll be coming back again to request dan for his great tourmanship.

I've taken tours with Dan before this tour company was created and came back to Salem specifically hoping to tour with him again. Luckily we found that Dan and his wife had started this company. Dan is an enigmatic storyteller who engages the group in sights and stories both historic and literary. Many of the stories leave you on the edge of your proverbial seat. Their knowledge of the subject matter is outweighed only by their passion for the city of Salem. I heard incredible stories I've never heard on any other tour. I fully intend to do this tour every year I come to Salem and suggest you make it a must see!
