Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Daniel was our extremely enjoyable and informative tour guide. Besides his vast knowledge of much of Salem's history, he was able to tailor specific sites and landmarks to individuals taking the tour, as he did for me and my HP Lovecraft interest. We took the day tour, and it ran all of two hours. It was my favorite part of my Salem visit. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was awesome, super well informed and obviously experienced. Got to see a lot of Salem in what felt like a very short time. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to see the city and learn some history!

We went on the 8pm tour this past Saturday night. Dan was an excellent tour guide and kept us engaged the entire time. As first timers in Salem, we learned a lot about the city's interesting history and past ghost sitings. We highly recommend Black Cat tours to anyone visiting Salem!
