Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

I have taken ghost tours up and down the East Coast and this was by far the best. My family (local to Salem) booked us for the history tour at 2 and then the ghost tour at 8. I learned so much on both tours, as did my daughter and her husband who have lived in Salem for years. There was a little crossover on sites we visited, but completely different stories! On the night tour I actually got a few chills from the ghost stories our guide Daniel was telling us, especially when we were at the old cemetery and a we thought we saw something ghostly! Highly recommend this company, both guides seemed to really care about how much we enjoyed ourselves.

Our tour guide was Daniel. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Learned a lot about the history of Salem and visited all of the main landmarks. Get there a little early, the place where you buy tickets on site is a few blocks away from the start of the tour. Overall we had a great time!

Not just knowledgeable, but downright entertaining! Took my kids on a tour with Dan and not only did he have a story about almost every building and street corner we came across, but he told them all with enthusiasm and passion and managed to spook the kids... just enough... that they've asked to go back this fall. Bring a camera and a sense of adventure!
