Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

If you're looking for a fantastic tour that won't break your bank as the other tours I looked at were $80 and up for a family of four then you should definitely consider Black Cat Tours. They even allowed our dog to come along. Daniel was amazing, fun and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful mix of both history and ghost stories so the kids loved it. Thanks Daniel!!

Enjoyed this tour as there were only 3 of us plus the guide. Found it very engaging and they guide was passionate about haunted Salem. Felt sorry for him as it was bucketing down and there was a ton a thunder and lighting all night long but it set the scene :) In regards to history and the paranormal I found he relaid it about 50/50 so if you are wanting to go on a tour purely history or purely paranormal find a different one but I thoroughly enjoyed it as I like both.

Our tour guide, Kristin, was the same woman that took us on a tour of The Witch House. Her knowledge of Salem is phenomenal. The tour took about 2 hours and we learned a lot about the history of Salem. The pace was slow enough so everyone could keep up and there were lots of spots we stopped at that Kristin talked about. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We truly enjoyed talking with Kristin!
