We have been travelling for 6 months across Canada and the U.S and have seen wonderful sights across this vast country. We have always wanted to visit the wonderful Monument Valley and today we had the opportunity.. We were lucky to get Willie Blackwater to take us out to the restricted area only available to see with a guide. Willie has a great deal of knowledge which he shared with us and a great sense of humor. He will pull your leg if he gets a chance and created many smiles through our time together. It certainly was a highlight of our whole trip. Thanks willie

My husband and I booked an all day tour with Blackwater Tours. We never knew that Monument Valley was vast, and had a long history of it's own. Our tour guide "Willie", was very insightful, and fun to be with. We spent the whole day driving into canyons, back roads, and over sand dunes. We did take a trip into Monument Valley the day before, but with another tour company. It was uninviting, commercialized, timed, and crowded. I recommend booking with a local tour company first, don't judge a book by it's cover.

We had the great fortune to take a tour of Monument Valley with Blackwater Tours in early November. It was a cold morning, but we'd been up early to see sunrise over the Mittens. Our guide, Patrick, turned up right on time. The first thing he told us was that we (the two of us and our 5yr old son) would be the only people on the tour that day. The second thing he said was that he didn't think he'd be taking us on a 2-2.5hr tour as promised. Disappointment set in before he advised us it would be more like 3.5 hrs if that was ok. Heck, yeah! We were in the back of an open-top vehicle which was cold for the first 20minutes but then warmed up nicely. We didn't get dust in our eyes - as people have suggested we might - because Patrick drove specifically to avoid this. He took us to so many amazing spots and gave a very personal Navajo view of his home. Quietly spoken, but very knowledgeable. I don't think I would have gotten nearly as much out of this driving the loop alone. I know I would not take any vehicle I'd hired or owned down in to it either. A can wholeheartedly recommend Blackwater Tours, and seeing the odd tour truck go by full of people meant we knew we were getting something special. First recommendation: Go to Monument Valley, at least for one night Second recommendation: Book a tour with Blackwater. PS: Ive attached some photos but they don't do any justice to this tour! Third recommendation: Book with Blackwater
