This is an approximately 1.5 hour tour of Monument Valley with an experienced Navajo guide. Prepare to take in one of nature's greatest wonders of red and orange sandstone cliffs, mesas, and buttes towering high above the desert valley floor of Monument Valley. While on tour, our guide show you famous movie locales, such as the old famous westerns starring John Wayne, and a little Navajo cultural history and the geology of Monument Valley.

Blackwater Tours

We will take you to 4-5 stops on this 2 hour route. Mitten View, John Ford's Point, Totem Pole and The Cube Point, Artist's Point, and The North Window if time permits.

We were on vacation June 2010 and took the Blackwater tour. Our tour guide Darrell was the best tour guide ever. We took a few tours on our vacation and this was by far the best. He made on tour so worth it. We even went pass our 21/2 tour because we had alot of questions of the beautiful scenery. I recommend you take this tour when visiting Monument Valley. Hi Darrell I'm the lady that reminds you of your aunt.

We had a great experience with Blackwater 2.5 hour Monument Valley tour. The guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. He gave a lot of very interesting explanations about the valley and in general about Navajo people and their life. Even though we had unusual weather conditions (heavy snow in May, who would expect that?) he conducted the tour in best possible way and made it an unforgettable experience. And the price was pretty good too.

I strongly recommend Willie of Blackwater Tours. We took the day long tour through Monument Valley and Mystery Valley, and he was entertaining and knowledgeable. His prices were less than others, also.
