A must do when visiting Ashville. Keith takes you along the blue ridge parkway and to see some waterfalls. He is very knowledgeable of local history and nature. No better way to see the breathtaking sites that NC had to offer

My wife has a knee problem so Keith crafted a custom tour for us to three waterfalls that did not require much hiking. He also helpfully brought her a hiking stick to help support her knee. Keith has lived and worked in the Asheville area for many years and has a keen understanding of the evolution of the Biltmore Estate and the impact the Vanderbilts had on forestry in America. He is also just a heck of a nice guy to spend the day with. The van was comfortable; the pace was spot on. We were with another couple and all four of us would give Keith and Tumblestone Tours 5 Stars (6 if we could).

My husband and I usually enjoy discovering areas on our own but we were drawn to Tumblestone because of the smaller group size and the highly rated reviews here on TripAdvisor. It was the highlight of our trip to Asheville, so glad we booked it! We only had three in the tour which was even better for us...a private tour! Keith, the owner and tour guide, is passionate about nature and the environment and is happy to share his wealth of knowledge about the history of the area as well as the local flora and fauna. He provides interesting historic narration during the scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and stops along the way for photo ops and bathroom breaks. Once you get to the waterfalls, he's mindful of the pace and always concerned for the safety of everyone, not just those in his tour. The hikes are easy and short enough treks for the reward at the end...breathtaking and peaceful views of amazing waterfalls!! WOW!! There is ample time to sit, have a snack (provided!), and take it all in. The tour never felt rushed and Keith was happy to take our photo anytime. Can't thank him enough for sharing his knowledge. We will definitely book Tumblestone Tours again the next time we visit; no tour can really be the same, with so many falls in the area (and he has hiked to them all!) Keith chooses accordingly based on the group in order to make it enjoyable for everyone. A definite must for your visit to Asheville...a chance to unplug, breathe in the mountain air and just BE with nature!
