We went on this tour on a rainy foggy day and had a great time! Not only did we see some awesome waterfalls but we learned a lot about the area while traveling in the van. Our guide was awesome and took some great pictures of us with our phone. Would highly recommend taking this tour if in the area around Asheville NC. We were staying near Black Mountain so we gad a time and place arranged to be picked up. The van was the van was there right on time.

Wonderful way to spend the morning. Keith is a warm and friendly tour guide with knowledge and an obvious love of the area which added to the experience. My husband and I are 65+ and had no problem managing the hike so don't let your age stop you if you are in reasonably good shape.

Keith, the owner and sole tour guide for this excursion, was an excellent driver, host, and guide! He related a lot of Asheville history while driving to/from the waterfalls, knew everyone by name, and engaged us in conversation. He provides snacks, and much needed water for the hikes. He also provided small towels to dry off our perspiration after the trek. One caution, however, is that the hikes can be a little taxing. The web site says "easy to moderate", and it's "not an endurance test". Well, for some of us city folk aged 60+ years, the hike was closer to moderate exertion, and it did tax our endurance a little. We finished together with Keith and the rest of the group, but we were quite sweaty and exhausted. So yes, old city folks can do it, just be prepared for the hills and stairs and more exertion than you might be used to. Also, the best views of the final falls requires sure-footed scrambling over some rocks and boulders to get to the base of the falls. My wife felt uncomfortable doing that, so she stayed back. She could still view the falls, but not from the best vantage point. So it's not a cake walk, you'll definitely get your exercise, but it's not undoable -- even if you're old city folks like my wife and I. Do it. You won't regret it.

Thank you for your comments about your experience, they are much appreciated. We do walk approximately 3 miles over 2 hours on the hiking portion of the tour. If you are reading this ,you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. If you walk several times a week, you should be fine. We do our best to adjust the pace of the walking to accommodate all in the small groups of usually no larger than seven people. Feel free to call or text us if you have any questions.
