Overview

Discover the natural sights and scenery surrounding the Blue Ridge Parkway in Great Smoky Mountain National Park in an active way on a hiking tour with transport through the mountains from Asheville. You'll drive through some beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three waterfalls and two protected forests . IMPORTANT Before booking this tour please know that we will be walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over 2 hours at pace of about 1 1/2 miles per hour, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. Snacks, drinks, and hotel pickup and drop-off by small-group vehicle (all window seats) are included. Tour is limited to seven people for a more personalized experience. Alternate tour routes are taken when the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed.
Departure between 8:00 am and 8:20 am at your area hotel within 3 miles of City Center. An exact time will be provided by test the day before your tour

What To Expect

Blue Ridge Parkway

Your tour begins with pickup from your Asheville area hotel or accommodation by an air-conditioned van, which has all captains chairs for the drive to and along the Blue Ridge Parkway when open, which is also Great Smoky Mountain National Park an American treasure well known for its scenic beauty and remarkable mountain views. Sit back , relax and enjoy this stunning drive to our first waterfall in Pisgah National Forest before traveling a short distance to visit two more falls in a beautiful state forest. Along the way you'll listen to interesting stories about the rich history of the area that has been attracting people to the area for generations from your local Asheville guide. Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots for the easy to moderate hiking portion of the tour. You should feel comfortable walking approximately 3.5 miles at one time during the hiking portion of the tour with stops along the way that will allow you time to enjoy falls, a snack and drink that is provided. Bring a small day pack if you have one. Safety is always a priority! After hiking, your tour concludes with transport back to your hotel, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to enjoy at your leisure.

Keith was awesome!! We were in Asheville after all the rain and the waterfalls were amazing!!! It felt like Keith took us to the best falls and really utilized our time so we could see the best of the best! Easy hike not strenuous at all. If your looking for a waterfall tour this one is it!!

If you are in town you will have door to door pick up and drop off service. Keith, our guide for the day has lived in Asheville for forty years, appreciates and is very knowledgeable about the general history of the area, the trails, flora and fauna. He made our trip memorable. Made a few scenic stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway before our hiking destination. All in all a well thought out adventure. Snacks and drinks provided.

We are novice hikers, but still wanted to see some of the beautiful waterfalls in the Asheville area. We weren't sure what to expect, but Keith was an excellent host and tour guide. We visited 3 gorgeous waterfalls with 2 bearable hikes. Keith was good at education on the history of the area and the natural flora/ fauna. We would definitely recommend this tour and would love to do it again next time we are in Asheville.
