Boulder Dam Hotel has a neat museum (free) and 20 minute film featuring the dams' construction. Reasonably priced gift shop too. Lots of antique shops on the main drag. Coffee shop/cafe was okay. Locals were not that social. Boulder Dam Hotel lobby is a nice place to sit and wait for your tour bus to come get you. The next day, as I was on my way to Hoover, our tour bus went through Boulder City again (eeek), and I noticed a UFO/Alien themed shop was also in Boulder City. Pity I missed that. This is a cheap trip. You are dropped in town and left by yourself for three hours. Thinking of going early to avoid the summer heat? you'll find most of the place closed.

Thank you for your review. Boulder City has so much to explore with a large number of antique shops and others even including the UFO store! The Bowling Alley is fun with only 6 lanes, Homemade Toy Shop, and much more. Great place to explore the artistic statues through the historic district too. Thank you for traveling with us.

Lovely little town, very different from the hustle and bustle of Vegas strip. Nothing opens until 10am, but it was nice just having a wander round looking at all the statues and scenery. Town museum was good, had a few interactive things and a video at the end. Quite a few antique shops and a few touristy shops. The 3 and a a half hours we were here were enough to see the whole place do the museum and have lunch.
