We had a great time on our Kentucky River cruise! Our captain was very knowledgeable about the river and the role it played in Kentucky's bourbon heritage. We are avid Kentucky travelers, and were looking for something unique for our 32nd anniversary, and this was perfect. If you have done the Bourbon Trail, then this is a must to accompany that. We were excited to learn about the history, and our captain had great ideas about places to eat..... The Stave.... (pimento cheese bites) yum!.... A great time!

A unique experience blending beauty, Bourbon and history! Captains Nate and Allison do a great job describing the history, geography and local lore of the area on a scenic 90 minute cruise. A necessary complement to anyone on the Bourbon Trail; a great value; and a personalized touch in a small group ( Max 14?) setting. Deserves to be a National River site, with remote areas, habitat and the locking experience. Go early or stay late to experience the free tasting at pick up/ drop off site, Buffalo Trace Distillery. Nate and Allison explain why It is not listed on most Bourbon Trail maps. But it is one of the biggest, oldest and most successful Bourbon distilleries in Kentucky! If you are into paddling try Nate and Allisonā€™s other local, family operation too!
