This is Must Do Activity. Our Captain (Nathan) was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided us with lots of history. As an extra bonus, we were offered a bottle of water or soda. (It's the little things that mean a lot) The price for the tour is very reasonable as well. Captain Allison provided shuttle service to and from the boat. She also provided us with a little history along the way. Their children were wonderful and made great Co-Captains!

Four of us took this tour and found it to be a huge highlight of our visit to KY. Alison picked us up at Buffalo Trace and drove us to a dock where we met Captain Nathan who took us on an hour boat ride on the KY River. All along the ride Nathan gave us a history of KY and pointed out landmarks along the way. The trip seemed so quick as Nathan was able to talk the entire time. However it was all interesting and informative. Alison then drove us back to Buffalo Trace where we were able to do a tasting. The river was beautiful as was the scenery along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a different way to learn about KY history.

My husband and I had the privilege to have a private river tour with Captain Nate! His knowledge of EVERYTHING was amazing!! We learned so much! Conversations flowed from fish to caves to property prices to complete bourbon history and beyond! If you are visiting Frankfort put this on your list! Thanks Captain Nate!
