Bronx Zoo Admission Ticket

Overview
Throughout our history, the Bronx Zoo has been an urban oasis, a place for New Yorkers and visitors from around the globe to escape the concrete jungle and experience the awe and beauty of animals and the natural world.

This spring, your family can explore the all-new Animal Chronicles, a walking trail of more than a quarter mile, featuring immersive eco-sculptures that showcase key achievements in the Bronx Zoo’s history of saving animal species and connecting New Yorkers to wildlife.

We are committed to providing safe and healthy experiences for our community. Changes to exhibits and park operations will happen. We will provide advance notice, when possible, but adjustments may also be due to unforeseen conditions.

Thank you for understanding if some exhibits/animals are not available on the day you choose to visit.

When in New York City a visit to this institution is highly recommended. The Bronx zoo brings you close to wild animals, including, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, snakes, spiders, venomous or not, The zoo is comprised of various areas that separate the animals from each other, but it brings them together in their own habitat, thr are Eagles, Condors, vultures, owls and many other feathered friends. Once inside the zoo you could go on the monorail,to tour Africa, or even see the animals that once roomed our Earth the Dinosaurs. You can see the famous TRex and the other animals that lived millions of years before us. You have the choise of several eateries so you can enjoy the food the the zoo offers to customers. You can also enjoy a ride in a camel, The Bronz zoo is the largest zoo in the world, once here it makes you forget that you are old, it brings the child in you. I recommend this very highly.

The Zoo you don't expect... in the Bronx, a huge park appears almost out of nowhere that transports you to another world populated by many animals. Over 6000 species within this thematic zoo with outdoor and indoor exhibits. The animals seem to be well and carefully kept, the routes are actually not exactly clear with signs that are sometimes confusing. Due to the weather conditions, with spring still far away, many animals were indoors but this obviously cannot affect the opinion on a zoo. What struck me most was the gap between the reddish buildings, with the external emergency stairs, of the Bronx and that little fenced-in green world. Lines 2 or 5 take you about two hundred meters to the entrance to the Bronx Zoo. The ticket costs around 37 dollars but it is possible to book a free entry for Wednesday on the zoo website.

Absolutely disappointed, empty park, very few animals and I must add that, despite the size of the park, the animals, especially the large ones, were kept in very small spaces. The park closed at 4pm and even though we had bought the ticket at 1pm we paid the full price! Considering then that in winter the animals are sheltered and you can't even see one! Absolutely not recommended
