The Brooklyn Bridge/Dumbo walking tour with Kevin was just great. I learned a lot about the bridge and its history, put across in a hugely entertaining way by Kevin. He clearly prepares really well for the tour, and answered all questions readily. He also has a great sense of humour and excellent repartee. The Walt Whitman reading he did at the end was a genuinely touching moment, and a great way to finish the tour. Excellent stuff.

Unfortunately my wife's feet were beginning to give up after a week of loads of walking so she had to turn back about a third of the way over Brooklyn Bridge but the kids and I saw it to the end. The guide was knowledgeable and although he walked ahead on the bridge, he was fine with waiting at strategic points for everyone to catch up. We got some great photos on the bridge and he passed on some great and interesting facts about its construction. Once we got to DUMBO we got some amazing photos and again saw a lot of great sites. I'd say, be prepared for a lot of walking and a good 2 hours but it was worth it and the rewards were great. You do finsih on the other side of the river though so you have to plan to get back if you're staying on Manhattan island like we were.

We met with Sara of Inside Out Tours & she took us on our walk over the Brooklyn bridge & into the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. The tour was spectacular and Sara was a wonderful & her knowledge of the bride & surrounding area was impressive. Highly recommended.
