Brooklyn Food Tour: The Flavors of Williamsburg

Overview
This walking food tour is a window into what makes this neighborhood so special. You'll experience the historic roots of the area at Northside Bakery which specializes in authentic Polish pierogies and desserts. From there, you'll visit the "Best Pizza" shop in town, and have a sit down food and drink stop at Tacombi. The tour ends with a dessert stop, a functioning chocolate factory! Between food stops, your expert guide will show you the sights of the area, including breathtaking waterfront views of the Manhattan Skyline, and narrate the history of one of New York's most colorful neighborhoods.

The food was great, but was not expecting to walk about 2 miles during the tour. I kind of thought the people that worked at the eateries would come out and talk about the food, but that did not happen.

Hi Theresa - thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We are sorry that the restaurants didn't have more time to spend with the group. We make every effort to make that happen but sometimes our restaurant partners are short staffed or extra busy. Glad you enjoyed the food though (which is why we picked the partners that we did!).

This is the second time I've done a food tour. The first time was in my own backyard and a learned a lot about the neighborhood. This time it was somewhere new for me and I was also great. They picked a great variety of things for us to try. Had interesting stories to tell about the history of the neighborhood. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Great tour and Walter was an excellent guide. We liked not only the food stops, but learning about the culture of Williamsburg and Brooklyn as a whole. Would highly recommend this tour.
