Just finished the Brooklyn Navy Yd Tour, and give it highest marks, this was mostly based on the excellence of the guide himself. He open his two hour tour by factored in everyone’s interests, and then tailored his focus to those needs – a very rare talent in guides. The BNY is steeped in history, mostly naval, but given that the Yard is now decommissioned, the tour covered not only its history, but its present role in developing the city’s economy. The BNY is a huge complex, and can be hard to explain, but what it does today is fascinating. Recommend that this become a most interesting addition to anyone’s NY visit.

This is a great tour company and this particular tour did not disappoint. Our guide, Doug, was so well versed about the history, evolution and current industries of the Navy Yard and his enthusiasm was contagious. We covered a lot of territory--it's a huge place--much of it by bus. I plan to return for one of their bike tours.

An excellent tour of a most excellent place. Our tour guide was thoroughly professional and knowledgable. Asked our small group what areas of interest we had ahead of time. Otherwise was a very enjoyable tour, covering the past, present and future of the Navy Yard. A must-see for naval history buffs when visiting NYC, anyone interested in industrial history, those with familial connections to the Yard, and anyone with an interest in how best to re-use an industrial site.
