The tour is outstanding and has great historical detail. It's really mind-boggling how much influence Brooklyn has had over military operations around the world. There's great information on the role of women and minorities in working here, which makes this amazing history accessible and relevant to everyone. The tour guide was fantastic-- friendly, happy to answer questions, and REALLY well-informed. The bus is a great idea-- you can see a lot of this huge place, it makes it easy to tour even in bad weather, and it isn't too strenuous for the visitors. The Naval Hospital is so cool and spooky-looking. I can't wait to see what Steiner Studios does with it in the future. The business owners have been so nice and accommodating when I requested a raincheck for some of my tickets. I've done this tour a couple times and it's AMAZING to see the evolution of the Navy Yard. There's more than history-- the current developments and future plans are almost as interesting at the USS Maine and USS Missouri. I plan to keep checking in every few years because it's a really exciting time. And you don't have to be a US Navy person to love this place-- like the title says, even my Air Force vet father in law loved the tour.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful review. We have worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard for 10 years, and we are amazed every day by the growth and change. And we love having veterans join our tours from all the branches – maybe some day we will find an historic US Air Force site to add to our tour programs!

Brooklyn Navy Yard Tour was my 1st Turnstile Tours experience. Prospect Park was my second. Both were excellent! I love the way that Turnstile partners with non-profits in the community to bring more attention to their causes. What a great idea! And these partnerships make for terrific tours. The guides are knowledgeable, well prepared, articulate, professional, and fun. Turnstile has a great repertoire of tours, and I look forward to walking (and eating!) my way through lots more of them.

An amazing historical and current view of the 300 acre Brooklyn Navy Yard site. Doug, our knowledgeable, articulate, pleasant and considerate guided, brough the past and present to life. Stuff we just never new a single thing about. Vast property with great history and stories. Moving into tomorrow with the careful (but seemingly very slow) industrialization project. The shuttle brought us through the property with ample (but no too much) stepping off for a closer look and more narrated detail> A most pleasant afternoon for six friends in their 70's and 80's who we excited to participate.

Thanks so much for your kind words. "Knowledgeable, articulate, pleasant and considerate" could be our new tagline! Thanks again for joining, and we are glad to hear that the tour was engaging.
