Sunset Cultural Center
This is the meeting place for Carmel Food Tours. Look for the tall, Gothic-style arch and huge windows. It looks a little like a church, but it's not. When you descend into the courtyard, which is located EXACTLY at the intersection of 9th & San Carlos, you'll be greeted by your tour guide.

We experienced many novel dishes at 4 restaurants and tasted honey, olive oil, chocolate at retail stores. Our guide Mig wove interesting stories, both personal and historical, as we meandered in Carmel. She took us to hidden passageways and parks, providing a feast for our eyes on the charm of Carmel By the Sea. A highlight was visiting the Carmel Honey Co., owned by a 16 year old entreprenuer! It was a great way to celebrate a friends birthday, meet new folks, and enjoy a cloudy/rainy day in Carmel!

My friend and I had a fabulous time with Migdalia on our Carmel Food Tour. We went to seven different places and had everything from a braised short rib to getting to try a honey taste test (Carmel Honey Company). We loved all of the places, but especially Villa Sombreros and the tiramisu at Cantinetta Luca was great. It was such a lovely way to spend and afternoon and we are looking forward revisiting some of the places we tried today. I can't think of a better way to spend and afternoon in Carmel. They were excellent and will bring other guests here when they come to visit.

My wife and I had not been back to Carmel for about 20 years so a lot had changed. She found this Walking food tour on line and I could not have been happier that she did. Carmel Food Tours was the highlight of our weekend. Our guide Amber was full of energy and great information. We were treated to not only the food and drinks of Carmel by the Sea, but due to her being a local gal we found many lesser know treats of Carmel. There are several little "alley ways" that lead to wonderful shops and small garden like parks. We were able to sample exotic foods and new styles of drink thanks to this wonderful tour. I highly recommend Carmel Food Tours for the foodie looking for great grub.
