Our first tour of the waterways in Ft. Lauderdale was a very interesting, pleasant one. The Carrie B cruise boat is very comfortable whether you choose to sit in the air-conditioned lower cabin or on the top cabin. Our tour guide was very informative about the Ft. Lauderdale area and told us interesting facts about the residents in the huge mansions we cruised by! The cruise is a good length....approx. 1 1/2 hrs.

The boat was clean and the staff were friendly. The seating was comfortable and you got a good view from the upper deck, which had a nice mix of shade and sun. The boat cruises around the waterways and the guide points out the houses of famous people or of historical note. He also explained a bit of the history of Fort Lauderdale too. We parked at the parking lot across the road behind the Lobster Grille as recommended on their website. It was $8 for two hours.

You cannot be wrong taking a tour on this lovely vessel !! You can choose whether you want to stay inside (in the air conditioning) or outside , on the upper deck - where you can seat on comfortable chairs and enjoy the view. The pilot slowly drives through the channels of beautiful Fort Lauderdale, the Venice of America. You learn facts and stories about the luxury ( even if –sometimes- kitsch) mansions of “the rich and famous” and - on certain days- you can also admire big cruise ships docked at Port Everglades. There is also a bar on the lower deck and restrooms for your convenience. Much more fun than expected: a nice way to spend a few RELAXING hours !! Highly recommended
