Wonderful 2 hour boat tour to take at a recent price. This 2 hour tour takes you through the Fort Lauderdale canals. You get to view beautiful homes and yachts that you could only dream of. The tour guide gives you details of the homes and yachts and famous people that own them. Drinks are also available for purchase on the tour. The boat has an indoor first floor and the upstairs is open deck. I would advise to sit on the deck, but please wear sunscreen, I went in March and got quite toasty. Well worth it!!!

If you want to escape the ho-hum drum of life for 1.5 hours, take the Carrie B. Harbor Tours to see (or be jealous) at how the other half lives. Before entering the boat, they take a picture of you. Ft. Lauderdale is known as “Venice of America" and discover why as you cruise along it's canal. You’ll see mega million dollar homes. We passed by one home that sold for a “mere” $14 million because it needed renovation. There was another home called "The White House" for $35 million. Got any spare millions? See mega yachts including Steven Spielberg's (if you’ve seen all his films, you’ve probably helped paid for his yacht). We entered Port Everglades, one of the world’s busiest ports that contain many huge cruise ships. I had just gotten off one of those cruise ships a few hours ago and saw it one last time wishing to be back on board, or at least one of the other ships waiting for passengers to cruise away later that day. Our guide on this replica 19th century paddle wheeler was informative and funny. On the boat, you can purchase snacks and drinks. When I left the boat, you can purchase the picture that was taken prior to boarding plus a key tag of your picture and the Carrie B. logo on the other side. I thought another cheesy gimmick to make money, but hey my picture didn’t look half bad (hate having my picture taken) and with the key tag total $10.00 so I bought it. The tour was very good. Would I do it again? More than likely not since I’ve seen it, done it, cross it off the list.

We took the tour hoping to learn a bit about the geography, history and origins of Fort Lauderdale. Nice to be on the water for 90 minutes but the tour guide spent most of it telling us how much this boat or that house was worth. If you enjoy gawking at rich people's houses, then a pretty decent ride. But not much else

Thank you for your review. Although we explain how The Venice of America was created along with it's geographic history, Ft. Lauderdale is basically about lifestyle. Our great Yachting Capital of the World was featured on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" with emphasis on the mega yachts as well as the extrodinary mansions. I realize it is difficult to please everyone but the majority of our passengers come aboard to experience the lifestyles of the few.
