There are several companies that will take you to see the multimillion dollar homes and yachts in Fort Lauderdale but to me, what sets the Carrie B. apart is their customer service. We had trouble finding the dock and were afraid we were going to miss the departure. I called the number on their website, an actual person picked up, and kindly gave us directions and told us they would wait. I truly was expecting to get someone with an attitude, but that was not the case. After making it on board, we were happy to purchase their drinks, hot dogs, and souvenir photo. We just really enjoyed ourselves and honestly, I could have cruised around on the Carrie B. all day, drinking rum drinks, soaking up the sun, and daydreaming about what it could be like to own one of those huge mansions and yachts!

If you are interested in a scenic cruise of Ft. Lauderdale's amazing waterways, this is the tour for you. In about an hour and a half, you get to see homes and yachts of the elite. And even for someone who gets sea sick easily, there was ZERO discomfort as the waters of the intracoastal waterway are very smooth. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance to streamline the process when you arrive. Kudos to the crew for actually calling me on my cell to check status because I was running a little late!

This river cruise picks up just off Las Olas Avenue and goes down the inland waterways first towards the cruise ships, back up to the northern end of the inland waterway and then back to the pick up point. There's a generally good, mostly witty, running commentary but it does get a bit repetitive after a while. I would recommend this tour 90-min tour - we saw a side of Fort Lauderdale that we might otherwise have missed.
