Cave Point Kayak Tour

Overview

This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County.

You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park.

At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land.

We booked this tour last minute for our impromptu vacation to Door County. The facility was easy to locate and well advertised. The staff was friendly. Our tour guide was Hunter and he was very personable and knowledgeable about the area and kayaking. I have no complaints about the tour and would recommend it to anyone looking to spend time outdoors and looking to Experience door county from a different perspective.

My daughter and I had an amazing morning with guide, Hailey and about 12 other people on our kayak tour. Hailey was very knowledgeable about the area. Super laid back, go with the flow of the group. We got a chance to cliff dive and go into a cave. Beautiful day out on Lake Michigan. Would definitely recommend and go again. Just a reminder that you aren’t able to tip via cc when booking with Trip Advisor so be sure to bring cash!

It was a great trip. A little too long for me and my husband. My husband wished he had a high back on his seat. I got a little sea sick when the waves were rocky by the caves. But all in all it was awesome! Our college boys had no trouble and love it too! Thanks!!
