Cave Point Kayak Tour

Overview
This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County.

You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park.

At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land.

Our kayak launch location and close meeting location make our company the #1 reasons to use us for your Cave Point Kayak Tour.

Our tour was "ok." I've been on many of these types of excursions and I *thought* it would be much like our others - the website seemed professional, the building. Our training seemed to be appropriate. But when we started piling our things onto the kayaks, my husband and I were surprised by the lack of thought that went into telling us what to bring, what would get wet, what should we do if our kayak flipped. We took it in stride - thinking "it's Wisconsin. Just more laid back." Our guide was kind and sweet. But inexperienced. Had there been any mishap, I wouldn't know how she would handle it. The tour - which was pretty expensive - boasted of a cliff jump. Our guide told us we would do it on the way back. I wasn't sure why. Usually you do those things on the way there because by the time you are going back, you're tired. On top of that, the wind had changed and it was more difficult getting back. And that cliff jump - packed with people from the trail! I had a feeling she would skip it. She didn't tell us we would as we were spread out. But she did. Our guide did make sure we safe and stayed with us which I did appreciate. When I booked the tour, I knew that I usually purchase the professional photo anyway - they get me every time. So, I paid the $20 extra. When it came to the end of the tour, our tour guide didn't mention the $20; there was no professional photo. She just texted me some photos that we could have taken. Overall, it was a good thing to do with our teenage boys. But it was expensive for the experience. Please don't pay extra for photos. The kayak guides use their iphones. Our guide was friendly. After other experiences like this, I had too high of expectations. But it was fine.

We had a great time on our Cave Point e-bike tour. We were a little nervous having never ridden e-bikes before (and having some knee issues), but it was so easy and so much fun. Our tour guide Jackson was very knowledgeable and took it at our pace. We would definitely recommend!

This was such a fun time! Our guide Drew was super friendly, talkative and helpful. Thanks for a memorable adventure! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see the lake and Door County from a different angle.
