Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

My husband and I took the Haunted Pub Crawl tour last month, and thought it was great fun. We've done these types of tours in several cities, some take you to haunted places, others just tell stories in a variety of bars. This was the latter, and our guide, Andrew, was a great story teller. He shared spooky photos to highlight the stories, took us to some fun places we might not have found otherwise, and made sure the waitstaff took care of our drink orders promptly. The included snacks at a few of the stops was an added bonus. Ghost stories and drinks, what's not to like!

At the start, our tour guide asked where we all lived. I got labeled a "Yankee". From then on, she had only negative things to say to me. I've never been treated like that before so I thought it was really odd. Honestly, do people still harbor ill feelings from a war that happened over 150 years ago? Where I come from, we are all Americans :) As for the tour... kind of hard to listen to after that treatment. The historical points were interesting. The ghost stories weren't that convincing. Didn't think it was worth the $28

We are very sorry to hear about your experience. I hope the guide was joking, but will definitely look into this. I can't think of a guide that would ever make someone feel bad for being from up north. So many of our guides are from the northern states, so I am shocked to read this. No, no one harbors ill feelings towards anyone from other places in the U.S. I really can't think of who would say this, but I will look into it. Please give us a call so that we can get more details.

I travel to Charleston on a regular basis and each time I do, I tend to bring other couples with us because we love the city so much and want to share it with others. Our first Bulldog Ghoast and Graveyard tour, magnificent. This past one, it was a disappointing dud. When I take a ghost and graveyard tour, I want to spend time in the graveyard. We went 30 feet in and were told to stay in tact as a group and not wander off. Then, we left. I couldn't have been more disappointed to build this up with our friends only to get what we got, and for $118 - I could have found better things to do with the time and the money. First Bulldog tour we did was a 5* out of 5*. This last one, maybe a 1 1/2* - at least we saw photo's of graves on the I-Pad the guide was carrying :-(
