Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

Had a great time on this tour! Lance was an amazing storyteller and your guide. We visited some historic places in Charleston and learned their history...and not just their haunted history. Lance has a great sense of humor and made the tour a great one. Highly recommend!

We arrived in Charleston with our friends and thought it would be exciting to go on an adults only ghost tour. We were set for the 10pm your and it was a huge disappointment. All the good reviews must be fake. Our tour guide seemed to be a “little out of it” and her dress attire was not appropriate for hosting a tour. We walked through the beautiful downtown Charleston but the stories we were told were not very ghostly or scary. After looking up some of the stories on the Internet after the tour we realized that they were told all wrong. After talking to the others in our group afterwards we realized they were also disappointed!
