Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

I really enjoyed this tour. There was lots of history and creepy stories shared. I am not a Charlestonian but really enjoyed learning about the history of this city. The use of pictures was great and very creepy, and sadly we did not see any ghosts on the tour. But I will be keeping my eyes out! THANK YOU LANCE!

At first My husband was a bit bored with the idea of me wanting to do a ghost tour. He figured it would be some boring history lesson! Well, he loved it! And if you can impress him then it’s the real deal! Lance was fabulous and is the reason this tour was an A+ experience! I highly recommend this tour as well as our guide Lance!

My husband and I spent the weekend in Charleston and after taking a few tours and sightseeing all weekend we both agree that the Death and Depravity tour we took with Lance as our guide was by far the best thing we did in the city! Lance is so passionate and not to mention hilarious. He truly made our ghost tour an awesome experience! The history was so interesting and very entertaining. We did not want the tour to be over! Lance is so down to earth and we were blessed to have him! This is a must do if you are in Charleston! I can’t say enough good things!
