Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

We toured with Don and could not have had a better time. He was chatty, friendly and knew a lot of great stories about the city. Agree with one of the other reviewers - it would be a good idea to do this early on in your visit so you can check out some of the sights in the light!

We thoroughly enjoyed our On Death and Depravity tour with Lance last night. After just about everything weā€™ve done in Charleston involving children, this was a welcome departure from everything that comes with having other peopleā€™s kids around. Lance was engaging and friendly, effortlessly drawing us in with his stories. Nothing is put on. He tells stories like heā€™s your friend and learned all of our names instantly. He artfully painted seedy webs without leaving out any of the good stuff, if you know what I mean. If youā€™re the least bit offended by mature themes and languages, just stay away, okay? When they say depravity, they mean it. The night couldā€™ve been easily spoiled by prudish complaining if the group makeup was different. We were lucky to have a like minded adult group that let Lance do his thing to the fullest. Thanks to Lance for a fun and funny night! This has been the highlight of our trip so far and Iā€™d be amiss if I didnā€™t leave this review.
