Charleston Stand-Up Paddleboard Eco Tour

Overview
This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

I loved The Whole experience❣️A couple of us have lived here on the island for years and never been paddle boarding on the Folly River. So we decided Today was the day❣️ Big John is such a kind hearted compassionate Soul. He gave our group an amazing sunset tour. I am Grateful for his care and attention to detail. He made sure we all felt confident and comfortable before getting in the water. He gave us all the instruction we needed to safely enjoy our adventure. He was very professional! We could all tell how much he loved his work and sharing this amazing River. I look forward to getting on the River and SUPing again❣️ I Would highly recommend this experience to locals as well as vacationers❣️ Thank You John😊

I was looking to go paddle boarding in the area and wanted to do a tour as I'm not familiar with the local waterways. Despite it being late November, John offered to do a private tour and it was great. Got to explore the river and hear about the local ecosystem and what makes the area unique. We did get to see dolphins twice, which was surprising as high tide was approaching. I would absolutely go out again and do a tour with John.

Aloha, Thanks for the great review and it was a pleasure exploring the salt marsh on the Folly River and spotting dolphins. Please come back and see us on your next visit. Jon

Our guide was very polite and informative. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any dolphins. Remember to bring your own water shoes or sandals.

Aloha Toni, We appreciate your positive review, and as we always say, dolphins are wild animals so we can't always spot them. Fun fact is that the dolphins do feed at low tide so we're more likely to spot them then. We do our best with offering a great guided SUP tour with professional staff which is totally in our control. Jon
