Charleston Stand-Up Paddleboard Eco Tour

Overview
This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

We had a great time paddle boarding and our instructor Devin was resourceful in explaining the natural habitat! This was my first time paddle boarding and his instructions were easy to follow as he's a great instructor. Just wish we had more time out on the water. Next time I will do the 2 hour rental for sure!

Glad you had a great tie on the water with Devin! He is actually a high school teacher and coach when he is not working with us, so he is an excellent coach! Thanks for the input: We try to make our tours appropriate for all levels of paddle boarders, so everyone feels safe out on the water! Now that you have taken a tour on the Folly River, you are fully prepared to rent some boards and head out on the water yourself!

Maddie was amazing. Not only did she put up with my bratty 12 yo daughter, She ended up towing her part of the way (the hard part against the current). There were three of us in our group of 7 who were experienced paddle boarders and 4 who weren’t (including my daughter and husband- this is usually just a mom and son thing), and she made sure everyone had fun on our two hour dolphin tour of the river at sunset. We saw lots of dolphins, learned fun facts about the Charleston ecosystem, plus she gave us good dinner recommendations. This tour was a little bit of a workout as you go against the current at some point and that could be challenging for some, but overall, most everyone got it and had fun (all except the tweenage girl...)

Glad you had a great time with your whole family! We know that teenagers can be a handful at times, but Maddie is a great guide and I am glad she was able to help!

We love this tour, this was our second time and Hailey is the best. He answers all of our questions and we will ask for him every time. We saw a dolphin and a bunch of jelly fish, it was a great experience as usual.
