Charleston Stand-Up Paddleboard Eco Tour

Overview

This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

Rented paddle boards with a group. Instructor was very good and knowledgable. He made sure everyone had water, sunscrenn, sunglasses, etc.

Aloha Mr, We want to make sure everyone stays hydrated on the water, so you can purchases water, gatorade, sunscreen, sunglasses that float, croakies and can borrow flip flops if needed. We want to guarantee only smiles on the Folly River.

My husband and I participated in the Saturday, July 27 9:00 A.M. Eco tour with AA and Big John. This was the first SUP experience for both of us. We had a great time! Almost immediately, I was having difficulty steering, so Big John tethered his board to mine and helped me throughout the journey. He could not have been kinder, more helpful, patient, or attentive. Although I was struggling, at no point was I made to feel inferior to the rest of the group. I would definitely try SUP again, and I highly recommend Charleston SUP Safari Eco Tour!

We had a great time with Phil and Al. They were super knowledgeable about the waterways, ecosystem and the wildlife. One of the younger folks on our tour had a difficult time paddling and one of the guides towed them and did so with a smile. Good times, good people AND oh yeah dolphins! It was a great tour, you should go!
