Charleston Stand-Up Paddleboard Eco Tour

Overview
This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

Ideal weather for a quick morning paddle (at least, for a July morning). Our guide, Eric, gave the group excellent pre-launch instructions. A few of us were experienced paddlers, a few were novices. No one fell off their board once we got on the water. Eric was quick to point out the various wildlife we encountered, and he was very knowledgeable and approachable in explaining the flora and fauna of the mud flats and tidal rivers. The non-migratory (indigenous) bottlenosed dolphins cooperated on our paddle - they were out hunting for fish that morning and we got to see them up close. There were two mother/baby pairs swimming together, and it was precious. Really enjoyable, and well worth the money. Thanks, Charleston SUP and Eric!!

Thanks for the great review and Eric is most senior guide on staff so he'll appreciate all the kind words! He's been teaching and learning more about the ecosystem for 7 summers now, so y'all got to learn tons of fun facts! Come see us next visit!

Ashley Ann did a great job with our group. She was real patient with a beginner and showed us all the ropes. Her ECO sphere knowledge was excellent. A great time for all!!
