The Chicago Architecture Center or CAC (formerly the Chicago Architecture Foundation, CAF) is at the south end of the Magnificent Mile near the intersection of Michigan and Wacker.
Tour Guides are trained and certified by the CAC. As volunteers, they are exceptionally motivated, enthusiastic, and capable interpreters of Chicago's world-class architectural legacy. CAC tours are the real deal - narrated, but not scripted, led by Chicago enthusiasts.
Access to building interiors featured on this tour may be subject to change, due to weekend and holiday schedules or unforeseen closures.

Our guide Bryant did a great job of pointing out the fabulous Art Deco sites in Chicago We managed to cover six great examples of Chicago Art Deco and tour inside five of them Beware the tour does move quickly as it is a 2 hr tour and you will use all the time Prepare for a very brisk walk

We chose this tour as it fit with our itinerary but would have taken any tour based on reviews and CAC's reputation. John, our docent, was knowledgable, entertaining and led our large (about 14) group effortlessly along sidewalks and into foyers of beautiful art deco significance. He not only discussed art deco architecture but pointed out and was a wealth of information on other styles as we walked along. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour (we had great weather for Dec) which was an easy walk and ended at Merchandise Mart which had plenty of options to eat at the end of the tour.
