Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol was first published in 1843, and its story about a man tormented by a series of ghosts the night before Christmas belonged to a once-rich, now mostly forgotten tradition of telling ghost stories on Christmas Eve. Dickens’ supernatural yuletide terror was no outlier since for much of the 19th century, was the holiday indisputably associated with ghosts and specters. *

A really fun tour, one of our favorite parts of our Savannah weekend trip! Our tour guide Jacob was really engaging and a great story teller. It was fun learning about Savannah's haunted history.

This was everything our family thought it would be! We visited from Ohio and it was a great taste of historical Savannah. The tour was so well thought out and engaging, some scary with some history, was the perfect combination! Everything was well paced out and we got to have hot chocolate and cookies beforehand, for that extra touch....couldn't have been happier with it! Definitely worth the time and money

Jacob was a very good story teller, kept it lively, he's well educated on Savannah. Had an excellent time.
