These tours are typically the best way to start out a visit in a city but the tour guide can really make it or break it. We had one guy who spoke in a bit of a monotone but gave lots of info for the first few stops, then we changed guides. Mandy was meandering and seemed distracted - lots of long pauses in the middle or her rambling sentences. It seemed like she didn’t really have anything prepared but things occasionally occurred to her that she shared - sometimes relevant to the tour, sometimes not. Sometimes she just sat there. I’ve been on a lot of hop-on-hop-off tours in cities all over the world and yesterday’s was pretty much the worst.

We have found that the hop on hop off city tours are the best way to dip your toes into places you’ve never been before, and we weren’t disappointed in the New Orleans tour! We stayed on the tour for 2 times around, and had 2 different tour guides. They are both very knowledgeable and very good! Well versed in the city and state history. Highly recommend!!

The bus was very helpful in getting around and learning all about New Orleans. The few we were on were not air conditioned on hot days, being in the shade on top was best place to be. Most of the tour guides were really good. Clarence, the walking guide in the garden district was very knowledgeable , informative and funny!
