The tour was pretty good but could use much more detail. So much fluff and filler in-between points of interest. So many things left out of the tour... so much info not given it was a bit sad. My suggestion is to put in a lot more info... you have time for it for sure. Like, what is the population of Sarasota? How many beaches are in Sarasota and what are they... and where are they? How many students going to New University? How large is the campus? Sarasota is made up of old and new neighborhoods... X in all. Here are their names and general locations. We can't hit them all but we will be going to these... How many parks are in Sarasota? Where are they and what are the names and what are they known for. How many big corporations are headquartered in Sarasota? What are the top five employers? What is the non-profit scene like? Who are the city players? Talk more about development... not just to bash it. There is sooooo much the tour doesn't cover and this is just the tip of the iceberg. You can pout all this in and 20 times more and it will not compromise what you do have listed and you will still have plenty of time for tour guide personality and stories. It's an ok tour and it needs to stay active in this world class city. It has incredible potential and the owner is awesome. So please do more research, and really wow your riders.

Thanks for taking the tour and taking the time to write these suggestions. Friday's tour went a bit differently than our normal City tour because the city closed down most of the cross streets in our neighborhood this week to finish putting in the sewer line. This caused us to have to renavigate the route and so several cites were missed. this might be why Pat had to fill in time. Usually we can't get it all in in 90 minutes. You offer some good ideas for us to explore--certainly our population has exploded in recent years and that would be good to note as development is happening at breakneck speed. You may be interested in a more in-depth tour like our Circus Secrets tour (history of Sarasota told through the lense of the circus) or the Public Art Tour or the Amish Experience tour. As a loyal fan, I would be happy to offer you comp tickets to any of these tours so you can get more in-depth information about Sarasota. Just email me- [email protected] if interested.

Great tour, Sarasota is an amazing city. However, Pat was sometimes inappropriate with jokes and his #1 joke with the middle finger was offensive.

I am glad you enjoyed your tour. I asked Pat about the issue you bring up and he told me that a driver had given our trolley driver the finger during the tour which guests witnessed. Instead of making guests feel bad about seeing this, Pat made a joke of it by saying, down here that means we are number one. The other guests laughed so he felt it had been the right thing to say. We try to delight customers no matter what happens on our tours, so I am sorry you did not find it funny.
