On this air-conditioned City Sightseeing Trolley Tour, see the BEST places to eat, shop, and visit through Sarasota's historic downtown neighborhoods of Gillespie Park, Burns Court, Laurel Park, St. Armands Circle, and the Rosemary Design District. Tour-goers will also see our world-class artistic and cultural organizations: The Ringling Museum, Ringling College, Asolo Theater, Selby Library, Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, Selby Gardens, Sarasota Opera House, Art Center Sarasota, Sarasota Symphony Orchestra. The tour guide gave a great history lesson of how Sarasota was built up and by whom. Was disappointed we didn’t get to Armands Circle due to heavy traffic so if you definitely want to see this as part of ur tour, I suggest u go on one of the earlier two tours, we were on the 3pm. Free bottle of water given at start of tour was a nice touch.

I am sorry too that St. Armands only has one way in and out for us and has become so increasingly congested after 1PM during the week. We love to take guests there but cannot always do this on our afternoon tours during high season.

Very enjoyable tour. We learned a lot of facts regarding Sarasota and saw some interesting sights. Jon Mac was our guide. He added some personal experiences in Sarasota which really enhanced our insight into the city. Our group would highly recommend this tour when visiting the area.
