This was a great tour! My parents and I went with some friends who were visiting from out of town, and we learned more on this tour in 1.5hrs than we could have in a month just walking around on our own. The trolley was well-maintained and air conditioned (yay!), which was great on a hot day, and Siggy & Jon (driver & tour guide) were fun and helpful throughout the trip. The tour building has a cute little gift shop too if youā€™re into quirky souvenirs.

Tammy gave us an exuberant greeting. Tour guide John gave a very detailed description of the many historic sites peppering his stories with enthusiasm, humor and personal experiences. Our driver, Jeff, did a great job maneuvering through busy steeets and chiming in with humorous comments. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

When I travel to a new location, I make a point to get a tour of the area for an overview of where I am. Our guide was very informative and even gave us a list of the people who had an impact in the building of Sarasota with a big emphases to the arts. Going on the 10am tour gave us the opportunity to see Armand circle, which appears to be an issue when taking an afternoon tour. The driver was phenomenal. He maneuvered the bus in very tight quarters that was scary but he made it seem effortlessly. KUDOS As we drove around from one sight to another the guide pointed out the different areas/building of which one was The Exchange - a consignment store that donated to the arts. We stopped in on our way home and was glad we did. The only down side was this tour was not a hope on/off which was not that big of a deal since there was so much to take in in such a short period of time. Also, as mentioned in another review, it would be nice if the bus had rows of seats for all the passengers to comfortably see both sides of the bus.
