On this air-conditioned City Sightseeing Trolley Tour, see the BEST places to eat, shop, and visit through Sarasota's historic downtown neighborhoods of Gillespie Park, Burns Court, Laurel Park, St. Armands Circle, and the Rosemary Design District. Tour-goers will also see our world-class artistic and cultural organizations: The Ringling Museum, Ringling College, Asolo Theater, Selby Library, Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, Selby Gardens, Sarasota Opera House, Art Center Sarasota, Sarasota Symphony Orchestra. Guests will learn more about the architects and developers who designed some of our most unique homes and buildings like the Blue Pagoda, Crocker Memorial Church, and Splendida. Circus history, Amish culture, real estate development booms and busts, and colorful stories about Sarasota’s founders give visitors a true overview of Sarasota’s rich and amazing cultural history.

Steve was absolutely AMAZING as the tour guide…extremely informative and funny. Very enjoyable experience! Would highly recommend. We plan to schedule another trip in the very near future!

The tour guide was friendly and informative. The bus was new enough that it had that newly lacquered smell. The rest of the staff was very friendly. We took the City Sightseeing Tour on our arrival day in town to get the lay of the area and some ideas for our vacation. There was a lot of ongoing road construction, but I'm not rating the tour based on that. The tour lasted approximately 90 minutes and winded through the streets of Sarasota. We drove past The Ringling, the Unconditional Surrender sculpture, Jungle Gardens, local theaters and several other attractions - all from the road. Our guide spoke to the rapidly growing real estate market in the area and pointed out some of his favorite recommendations along the way. He also spoke to some of Sarasota's history. For me, the tour didn't feel like the experience matched up to the price per ticket. Maybe there's just not enough to do in Sarasota to make it engaging enough for my personal liking. We did spend a few days in Sarasota afterwards. The majority of stuff to experience was off the roads or in local areas we didn't travel to like St Armands Circle and Siesta Key (yes, I realize this was a City Sightseeing Tour of Sarasota).

We have been on many city tours what was special about this tour was John our tour guide who lived and working in Sarasota for 30+ years. His knowledge and humor made this a city tour you should not pass up! Need to also mention all other folks that made this a memorable experience!
