Overview

A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

Informative and entertaining Broadmoor Falconer, Deanna, surpassed her awesome Beginner Falconry with an incredible gloves-on experience for my grandson and myself in the Intermediate Falconry session. Her knowledge, sense of humor, respect for the birds, and intuitive ability to determine the needs of participants is outstanding. The breadth of exposure in a limited timeframe is amazing. In addition, from those assisting sign-up to the personable van chauffeur, the Broadmoor employees are exemplary. Falconry has become one of my most memorable vacation experiences.

My wife and I joined a Falconry class while on vacation in Colorado. All I can say is it was way cooler than I could have expected. If you are hesitant don’t be. Deanna (I hope I spelled it right) is amazing! She really knows what she is talking about, truly enjoys teaching her group and is very interactive. You all were awesome from start to finish. Thanks for an amazing time!

It was very informative and everyone was so nice throughout the experience. We did the beginner lesson and at the end we were able to hold a falcon. We are so happy we went.
