Comb Jelly Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

Overview
In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They're right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences.

In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for unique experiences.

this trip was amazing, our guide Harrison was fun professional and had a ton of cool information about the area. We did a 3 hour combo tour of dolphin and manatee, sunset, and bioluminesence. the manatees were everywhere and Harrison knew just how to approach them. when it got dark the bio came out really amazingly all the guides from all the different companies were calling it a 10 out of 10 for brightness. the mangrove roots looked like underwater fire in the current and Harrison had some great tips on how to pick up the cone jelly so your arm would sparkle. we had been out with another company and were really unhappy but "A day away" blew them out of the water. worth every penny ask for Harrison

Both our instructor were very great and informative. I cant remember their names but they were very friendly. Saw two shootings stars and lots of comb jelly's. Great experience! Highly recommend .Make sure its hot that day and the moon is not there. Less light to have a better experience.

Amazing time. Excellent tour guides. Kayaks were easy to manage. The water lit up with very stroke of the paddle after dark.
