This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

What To Expect

Coit Tower

See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.

Painted Ladies

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Mission District

See Mission Dolores, the Mission Murals, and location of what may be the best burritos in city.

I arranged this tour with Reed as a surprise for my wife. He provided a great deal of information by email prior to our arrival in SF, so I was very optimistic things would go well. I was not disappointed! He and I had determined a pickup point, and right on time, the Mini convertible pulled alongside the curb. I said "wow, I wish we had one of those to tour the city". Imagine the look on my wife's face when Reed stepped out and said hello! The next 3 hours were perfect. The sound system was excellent, we stopped at great places and had plenty of time for photos. Reed shared his extraordinary knowledge of the city throughout the tour. Still, he was happy to engage in conversation and answer all questions. Beautiful city, great tour, and a guide who is a real gentleman. Easy to recommend.

If you want to see the city and learn all about it, Reed is your man! The day was perfect. He communicated prior to our visit to get a list of things we wanted to see. He picked us up at our hotel which was so convenient. We booked him for 3 hours but wanted more! We ended up seeing everything the city had to offer in 4 hours. I would suggest touring the city this way ….. private and much more fun! Reed knows so much history of the city. We are still talking about our mini cooper tour weeks later. The car was very clean and roomy for all 3 of us. We went places the big buses can't go. Reed customized our tour so that we could stop and take lots of photos. He even suggested a wonderful restaurant after the tour was over! Book and have fun!

We had an amazing 4 hours tour with Reed and his Mini Cooper. Everything, really everything was perfect. Reed is very friendly, he knows really everything about San Francisco and he transmitted us his passion for this amazing city. It was breathtaking! He tooked us to the most beautiful places and point of views. Thanks to him we have some perfect photos and we lived unforgettable moments. I think that we saw a lot of things during these 4 hours. Without him we would have taken 3 days. The Mini Cooper ride is really fun! Thanks to his mic system we could listen to him via the radio that is very good especially when you sit in the back of the car. At the end of the day he recommend us a very good restaurant where we had a delicious dinner, the zoetrope café. He even called them to make a reservation. To tell it in a nutshell: WE had a great time with the perfect Guide in the perfect car. I can recommend him warmly
