As well, you'll be accompanied by a guide well-versed in the area History, Flora & Fauna and geologic formation of the Great lakes and Dune formations. Sleeping Bear is fantastic in and of itself, but having a guide to explain everything from the Native Tribes that once roamed the area, to the geologic forces that leave us with the Great Lakes we know today, greatly enhances ours guests visit to Sleeping Bear. Oh, and guests rave about our catered lunch. It's delicious!

Walking is required to access the vista at Empire Bluffs. The trail is designated as "Easy". Expect to walk 1.5 miles over a dirt and sand Trail.

A guided tour of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Tour includes round trip transportation from Traverse City with snacks and drinks provided. Stops include an easy walk out to Empire Bluffs, Scenic Pierce Stocking Drive, Lake Michigan overlook, Glen Lke overlook, Sleeping Bear Dune overlook, Lunch on the beach in the village of Empire, Dune Climb, Historic Village of Glen Haven and Glen Arbor.

This was absolutely the best tour ever. Our guide was so very knowledgeable and funny too. The day couldn’t have been any better. The most beautiful sights we’ve ever seen. It was amazing. You MUST do this tour. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Not cheap by any means, but well worth while for us. I went with 2 adults on an unpleasantly hot day, with Matt as our guide. We saw places and did (mostly short) walks in wonderful scenery, comfortable between walks in our cool minibus. Plenty of information about history, geology, flora and fauna, local life, with good humour and efficient guiding. We would never have managed to see and do so much on our own, it was worth every cent to see such an interesting area in detail. Lunch too was simple but good. Just one recommendation - please find snacks that are low in salt/flavouring, perhaps some fruit/nut bars as well - gluten free and low sugar?

This was the highlight of our vacation!!!! Booked this tour with my mother in law, Matt picked us up right at our hotel on time! We learned so much and he was extremely charismatic, knowledgeable and personable! The amount of patience he had for the annoying little girl on our tour should have been rewarded!!! We were provided with snacks, drinks, entertainment. The hike was gorgeous! I wish there had been more than one trail for us on this trip, but being able to see ship wrecks, learning about the history of the area as well was amazing! Matt was phenomenal and obviously enjoys what he’s doing!!! Lunch was absolutely amazing as well! Everything was perfect!!!
