We had so much fun snorkeling and viewing the manatee. While we didn’t see many(because we are late into the season), swimming into the spring was a lot of fun. Our guide, Adrienne, was a blast and great with my 10 and 14 year olds. Our captain, Lauren, was super kind and had fun facts to share with us! I would definitely do it again, but earlier in the season.

Thank you so much for the terrific review. We are so happy you had a great time and enjoyed your tour with Adrienne and Lauren.
While we do see manatees year round, you are absolutely correct that you will see significantly more manatees if you come when the weather is cold. When the Gulf of Mexico gets below 68F, the manatees who live there have to go into warm water to keep warm. Kings Bay is the largest wintering place for manatees in the world and we will have approximately 600-900 manatees there, keeping warm in the spring water. Once the weather turns warm, those manatees return to the Gulf, leaving our permanent population of 50-100 manatees.
We hope to see you again!
