Your Deluxe Manatee Swim Tour provides a unique opportunity to view Florida's Nature Coast. CRWS is a proud member of the Save the Manatee Club Guardian Guide Program - promoting passive observation and responsible eco tourism. Your tour will take you past a state Archaeological Park, a State Nature Preserve and to a National Wildlife Refuge. You may view up to 57 varieties of birds, river otters, deer, pigs dolphins, a variety of fish and turtles besides the opportunity to swim in the area of the gentle giants manatees.

Thank you so much for your review of Crystal River Watersports, we really appreciate it! We are delighted that you enjoyed your trip and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit! At the moment we are planning to open for manatee tours on June 1, with new safety protocols in place. We can offer snorkeling and dive trips sooner. Our shop has always cleaned our equipment with a bleach solution to sanitize all of our equipment and boats. (Hence some of the spotty wetsuits! lol) Those procedures the all gear thoroughly, but we will also be offering other options l, such as new mouth pieces for each guest. Crystal River Watersports is also looking for a low cost option if guests want to buy their own snorkel, making online waivers available to reduce contact at check in, and other ways to keep our guests and their families safe! We are already offering a buy two, get one trip 1/2 price special online for when we open, and as always, all of our tours are small groups. We had a great day with John & Wendy. We swam close to a few Manatees, enjoyed a beautiful day, and learned a lot about the area wildlife. It was a great experience. It was very personal and I highly recommend this company for a great experience.

Thank you so much for choosing Crystal River Watersports for your tour! Both Jim and Wendy are excited about getting back on the water and with the manatees as soon as it is safe to do so. Our staff trains on a regular basis to learn more about manatees, the local history and eco-system, the springs and local birds and animals. We do ongoing safety training like CPR/First Aid, Water safety and rescue techniques to make our tours as safe and as interesting as possible for our guests. Our small tours (most boats carry a maximum of 6 people, and once can carry up to 10) ensure personal attention and it also makes it a less stressful and more enjoyable experience for the manatees. Our policy of passive observation also makes it a safe and relaxing experience for both guests and manatees. We hope that if you are in the area that we can see you again!

My mother and I participated in a manatee snorkel experience and had an incredible time. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and fun; we saw multiple manatees, including a calf! I will definitely utilize this facility again the next time I visit and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a place to make unforgettable memories. They are very clear that animal comfort/safety is their top priority and enable people of all water-skill levels to observe these magnificent creatures safely and respectfully. 10/10 - go as soon as you can!
