Your Deluxe Manatee Swim Tour provides a unique opportunity to view Florida's Nature Coast. CRWS is a proud member of the Save the Manatee Club Guardian Guide Program - promoting passive observation and responsible eco tourism. Your tour will take you past a state Archaeological Park, a State Nature Preserve and to a National Wildlife Refuge. You may view up to 57 varieties of birds, river otters, deer, pigs dolphins, a variety of fish and turtles besides the opportunity to swim in the area of the gentle giants manatees.

Always wanted to swim with Manatees and Crystal River Watersports made it possible.Both Hailey our guide and Vince our Captain were very knowledgeable about the area and of the Manatees. They made sure that we had a great time. Thank You!

We wanted to check off a bucket list item and Don and Robert did not disappoint! While we had a warm spell in February we feared the Manatees were all headed out for some salty ocean vegetation but low and behold we did see a few sweet gentle giants. It was a wonderful “Old Florida” boat trip around Kings Bay and into Three Sisters Springs. Water Foul, Turtles and several different types of fish were bonus finds on our snorkeling trip, but this Mamma and her newborn topped the cake of Zen and Happiness! We swam into the springs with our very knowledgeable guide Don who made sure we saw what we came to see, while making sure we all participated in passive observation. We truly had a magnificent experience as the gentle giants watched us before they glided under us. Some other companies did not see to take as much care as our crew, which was sad to see. I can not express how professional our guides were during the entire experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone and also say that 6 people or less is key with your group. Not only for you as participants but also so these amazing creatures don’t get overwhelmed. Thanks Crystal River Watersports! ❤️

Our shop was recently awarded the Guardian Guide designation from The Save the Manatee organization (one of only two shops to earn the award), and are so happy that our commitment to offer both educational and fun tours that respect the manatees and the environment made it a good tour for you. Our guests are really the secret to success, because when we have people who are willing to passively observe the manatees, it makes it a stress free experience for the manatees. This actually encourages more interaction because the manatees then feel comfortable if they are allowed to choose what they want to do, and are more likely to approach snorkelers who simply float quietly in the water. We also appreciate your patience in finding manatees, and are glad that you also enjoyed the Eco-tour portion of our tour. The Nature Coast is beautiful, and the abundance of birds, wildlife, and the fish, turtles, and other marine life makes it a fascinating and peaceful place to visit. Swimming with the manatees had been something I wanted to do since I first visited Florida more than 10 years ago and discovered these beautiful creatures! My dream finally came true last week thanks Crystal River Watersports. We had a great time despite the cold and were able to see many manatees. The boat ride takes quite a bit but captain Robert and Hailey are wonderful and very knowledgeable about the springs and manatees told us a lot of things about the area and these beautiful creatures. As soon as you get in the water it feels really cold, but after a few minutes it gets better and when you begin seeing the manatees you forget about the temperature alltogether! We were in the water for approx 1h10mins and loved it. There were plenty of manatees and a couple of mothers with babies, we even caught one nursing!

We are thrilled that we could make this long held dream come true, and that the experience lived up to your expectations. The manatees are truly magical beings- they are so homely they are adorable, and so peaceful and graceful that they steal your heart. The Eco-tour portion of our tour takes up roughly 30 minutes of the beginning and end of the tour. When it is cold, we strongly encourage warm clothes to make sure you stay warm. (If you decide to visit the manatees again, we do offer boat coats to rent- they keep you toasty warm.) This portion of the tour is unique to our shop, as the other businesses that offer manatee tours are all located on Kings Bay, so you only see that area on their tours.
