Diamond Head Running Tour

Overview
Diamond Head Crater run. Starts at the Honolulu Zoo and is 10K (6.2 miles) round trip. A gradual uphill run (we can set the pace determined by who is in the group) passing by Kapiolani Park, residential neighborhoods, a few shops, restaurants, and historical/ former military sites. Once inside the crater, it's a 560 ft. gain on a trail to the bunker at the summit. There are 175 steps on the way. At the top - there is an amazing 360 view of Waikiki and surrounding Honolulu. There are historical and many interesting stories to be told. It's an easy return trip back down to the Zoo. We provide water and snacks. Running and fitness tips are provided by our experienced guides.

Amazing! Yovo was such an awesome guide combining a great run route with really great local info. He also snapped a stack of photos for us on his phone to send to us which is brilliant. This is a must do for any visitors who want to stretch the legs and get a top insight into the region. Zero regrets about taking this tour - 10/10. Jake & Amanda šŸ¤™šŸ»šŸ¤™šŸ»

Diamond Head running tour is a great way to see one of Honolulu's amazing natural attractions and to also see Honolulu itself. Totally worth the ~650ft (~200 m) climb! It is for people of various fitness levels and you get to relax at the top. My wife and I had a great run with our guide Yovo, who was enthusiatic, friendly, knowledgable and fun! We loved running in Hawaii! Highly recommended!

My wife and I have done a number of running tours - but this was by far the best. We signed up for the personalized tour (2 hours), and within a few hours Yovo emailed us and asked us which tour we would like. He showed up the next morning at our hotel lobby to pick us up at 6:30 am and we were off to Diamond Head. We parked and started the run. He was extremely polite, provided a lot of history, and even provided us with drinks and rain coats (it didn't end up raining that day). He led us up the crater, with frequent stops for some historic tidbits and some water breaks. We reached the top and he took us to a nice spot where we sat and had a bit of a picnic. He went ahead and cut us up some fruit, granola bars etc. It was really an amazing experience. He also took photos of us throughout the tour so that we could commemorate the event. I suggest doing this tour and if possible, as for Yovo!
