Diamond Head Running Tour

Overview
Diamond Head Crater run. Starts at the Honolulu Zoo and is 10K (6.2 miles) round trip. A gradual uphill run (we can set the pace determined by who is in the group) passing by Kapiolani Park, residential neighborhoods, a few shops, restaurants, and historical/ former military sites. Once inside the crater, it's a 560 ft. gain on a trail to the bunker at the summit. There are 175 steps on the way. At the top - there is an amazing 360 view of Waikiki and surrounding Honolulu. There are historical and many interesting stories to be told. It's an easy return trip back down to the Zoo. We provide water and snacks. Running and fitness tips are provided by our experienced guides.

Yovo was an enthusiastic guide. This was a great tour with a combination of running and walking (due to the hike up). Yovo made sure we took photos along the way too. I highly recommend this tour if you want to fit in some exercise during your vacation.

I am a travel adviser with Blissful Honeymoons & Destination Weddings / Blissful Vacations, and I was in Oahu for a conference. I wanted to hike Diamond Head, but since I was by myself, I decided to look for a tour. I came across the Diamond Head Running Tour with City Running Tours. It turns out that the two other people scheduled to run on the tour rescheduled last minute, but the company still did the tour with me. Yovo was my guide, and he was fantastic. He was very professional, and stayed at the running pace good for me, and brought snacks and water to share. He knew where all of the good photo opps were along the way, and sent me all of the photos later that night. I hope do do another scenic running tour on my next visit to Oahu! Thank you, Yovo!

I had a great time with Yovo as my guide. We got a full 6 miles in running/walking, and the sights were so beautiful. I recommend this tour and I would definitely do this again!
