What To Expect

The Dinner Detective

At The Dinner Detective, you’ll tackle a hilarious and challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it! Our engaging and unique murder mystery dinner theatre performances have been playing across the country since 2004. Our show is very different from traditional murder mystery dinner shows. We will hide non-costumed actors in the audience that are pretending to be part of the crowd. This results in a much more social and interactive evening than with other shows. Our shows are set during the present day and take place in real time. Over the course of the night, our costumed Detectives will uncover clues, interrogate audience members that may or may not be part of the show, and help everyone get closer to solving the mystery.

The food was absolutely fabulous! There were no microphones so it seemed like the performers were screaming the whole time. The murder mystery was pretty hokey would not do again.

We’re always looking for something new and fun to do and this show did not disappoint. The cast was funny and always kept us on our toes. By the end of the night I thought everyone in the room were murderers. The detectives had so much energy from beginning to end we laughed the entire night. We came with another couple who had requested we all sit together when we booked out tickets however we ended up at separate tables. The veggies were amazing, however although it had really good flavor my chicken was a little dry. My husband and I don’t eat chocolate and I forgot to mention that I booked our tickets. There is as chocolate cheesecake at our place setting and I asked on if the wait staff if it were possible to change it out. She checked and was able to bring us some fabulous apple pie instead. I wish I’d gotten her name and could given her a shout out on here but we really appreciated that. All in all we’re certainly telling all of our family and friends about this show. Thank you guys so much for an amazing night out. You guys rocked it!

This place is horrible and the people that did the show were awful. They were very rude. We went for a bachelorette party and they treated us like garbage. If you didn’t want the bachelorette party there then it should be listed. I’ve contacted multiple times and with no response. Terrible actors I might add. Don’t waste your money. You’d be better watching drunk people on broadway for entertainment.

Hello! Your party was incredibly rude and disrespectful to our audience, cast members, and staff for the entire show. You brought a water gun to the show and fired it at our cast and audience members without warning, which is EXTREMELY invasive and dangerous, and in direct violation of our Terms & Conditions which you agreed to before purchase. You repeatedly held loud conversations in the middle of the show, disrupting others' enjoyment of the experience, and you got angry when asked to quiet down so others could enjoy the show too. Finally, you caused another disruption at the end of the show about your answer forms not being collected, despite our staff reminding everyone multiple times that we were at last call for answer forms. We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
