What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. We traveled from Northern Virginia to attend a wedding and decided to spend an extra day in the area. Our local friends suggested the BREW-ed tour, having taken it themselves. I am certainly not a "beer person" but found Cliff's presentation both entertaining and informative. The multiple samples of difference beers was also very pleasant. I may not change my limited preference for beer (Blue Moon - Sorry, Cliff) but at least I now understand a little more about why I like that taste. The history and geography lesson that Cliff gave while walking through Asheville was an added bonus. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon Cliff. Signed - the older, but cute, couple from Virginia
